Survivors are offered services needed to develop safe, healthy, and meaningful lives for themselves and their children through positive encouragement and empowerment.

This includes shelter services for clients and their dependent children, 24-hour helpline, legal advocacy, counseling, support groups, case management and assistance with basic needs.
In honor of a woman who stood up when others sat down, we strive to empower strength in every survivor. They are #CoraStrong.
Mrs. Cora Lamping was the second State Superintendent (1906 – 1913) of our founding organization. During her tenure, at a time when few women were given leadership opportunities, she helped pioneer the system of foster care in Michigan by assuring children could be given individual care and attention prior to permanent placement in an adoptive home. The Cora Lamping Center is named in her honor to inspire and empower Survivors toward the aspiration of achieving a violence free life.
